Direct email is secure and can be used to communicate a patient’s protected health information (PHI) from provider-to-provider. A Direct email account is also required for practices who wish to send data about their patients to CurrentCare. The RI REC has evaluated and pre-qualified three Health Information Service Providers (HISPs) who provide Direct messaging services:
